A collateral direct pathway from the striatum to the GPe supports motor control
Marie Labouesse obtained her PhD in 2015 at ETH Zurich (Meyer/Langhans Lab) studying mechanisms of postnatal brain maturation. During her postdoc at Columbia University (Kellendonk Lab) she worked on circuit dissection in the basal ganglia. In 2020, she joined the University of Zurich (Patriarchi Lab) to work on fluorescent biosensor tool development. She recently became Junior Group Leader at ETH Zurich where her lab focuses on basal ganglia circuit wiring and function across the lifespan.
